I have always loved to sew and feel great satisfaction when I create something. This is often how I love to give gifts. I love making a gift over purchasing something already completed. I started making baby blankets as gifts for friends having babies, which at the time was quite a few, and for nieces and nephews that started coming into my life. I began receiving requests to make a baby blanket for others to give as a gift. In 2009, I decided to open my shop. I worked it more as a hobby and never really thought of it as something that I could work as a business, until 2018. I had some friends and family that jumped onboard and were doing quite well. Shortly after getting married in 2019, I reopened what is now Burton Baby Design. I resigned from my job and was all in on running a profitable business. I still can't believe I get to do this for a living. It is a lot of work, but so much fun and it allows me to get out all my creativity. I love the lifestyle it has allowed me to have and I am living my best life! So grateful for people like my customers, who support small businesses. You allow me to live out my dream.
